Disney Parks just released this video giving us a look at what to expect from Animal Kingdom's newest addition, Donald's Dino-Bash. A straight up party taking place in Dinoland U.S.A. featuring new characters & new costumes, all capped off with a giant dance party. New meet & greets with Scrooge McDuck & Launchpad of Ducktales fame. Along with classics Donald, Daisy, Chip, & Dale in new Dino inspired costumes. None more adorable than the chipmunks full out Dinosaur costumes. This sounds like a lot of fun. Not to mention my daughter's new favorite thing now is Disneyworld dance parties. Adding this to Dinoland will make her day. Dinoland U.S.A. has been needing something fresh for awhile now anyway. Hopefully this can stir some traffic over there. I'm in though. I've gotta meet Scrooge & Launhpad. That's become my summer mission. Anyway, what do y'all think? Does this look fun? Do we want a dance party in every park? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Hollywood Studios Is Adding A "Disney Junior Dance Party!"
My daughter has drug me to the same Disney Junior Live On Stage show over four times now. Not saying that the first time wasn't fun. We had a blast. The next few however, I was wondering when the lineup of shows involved would get updated? I wonder no more. Disney Parks just announced this fall there’s an all-new Disney Junior show coming. This will replace the current show, which ends Sept 1st 2018. “Disney Junior Dance Party!” is a high-energy, live show experience that will take inspiration from Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Doc McStuffins, The Lion Guard and Vampirina. In which, my daughter is totally going to freak out about the addition of her newest favorite, Vampirina . The new “Disney Junior Dance Party!” will be a musically infused, interactive concert, hosted by Finn Fiesta and a DJ, named Deejay of course. You'll be involved in all the fun, including some live appearances from favorite characters, fun music from Disney Junior, and much more. It even sounds more fun for me with the addition of The Lion Guard & Roadster Racers . What do y'all think about the new addition? When this replaces the old show what will you miss? Sorry Jake & the Neverland Pirates. Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Happy Anniversary To Pandora: The World Of Avatar!!
I can not believe it's been a whole year since the opening of Animal Kingdom's Pandora: The World of Avatar. To celebrate below there this new Disney Parks tribute video, along with one of my first videos discussing our first thoughts on the park's opening day. Disney Parks has put together an awesome video, Pandora - The World of Avatar: From Beam Signing to One Year Anniversary documenting the land from its beginning through its first year. With some insights from a bunch of Imagineers. I love hearing them talk about this place. You can really get the feel of how much they've poured their hearts into it. I'm absolutely crazy about this land. I checked out my old video below, & I'm just as blown away now as I was day one. Pandora has become my biggest highlight at the parks. The immersiveness is insane. You truly feel transported. The video's long, & you can definitely tell it's one of my firsts, but check it out if you want a full rundown of the park. As well as some insight to how insane a Disney Park opening day can be.
Lots Of Details For Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Come From Galactic Nights 2018
Last night was 2018's Star Wars: Galactic Nights at Hollywood Studios. Which means they dropped a lot of news regarding the upcoming land of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, coming to both Disneyland & Disneyworld next year. First off was the name of the village you will be visiting when you get to the planet Batuu, the Black Spire Outpost . In which, I can't speak for everyone, but that's an awesome name. I can't wait to see what the merch looks like now. I definitely see at least a new hat on my future if that reads across it. Besides that though, they also gave this background description: "The largest settlement on the planet Batuu, Black Spire Outpost is an infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space. Off the beaten path, this outpost has become a haven for the galaxy’s most colorful — and notorious — characters. Widely known for the petrified remains of its once towering ancient trees, the spires now stand guard across the river valleys and plains and have long captured the imagination of travelers to this planet. To the first settlers, these petrified spires became more than just landmarks; they became the heart of the outpost itself." This really sounds like it's going to make Pandora: World of Avatar look like a small tasting ground when it comes to the level of immersion they're going for. Here's the concept art they released with this.
The next part though is what really got me excited. I wasn't present so I'm using the powers of WDW News Today & Chip & Co. combined. Between them both I've learned that there will be a Creature Stall, where you can adopt creatures to bring home. Your Banshee won't be lonely anymore. Specifically they name dropped Star Wars: Rebels Loth-cats. Chip & Co. was also did report they mentioned other creatures as well, yet the Loth-cats were the only specifically named. On another note WDWNT has Disney Immagineering working on bringing to life a "walking, breathing, real creature" in the form of the Loth-cat. They're thinking these will be like the free roaming droids. Below is a concept of the Creature Shop, with a pic of a Loth-cat. I'm actually really excited about both these notions. A creature shop to adopt Loth-cats sounds awesome itself. Throw in the possibility of other animals to adopt & I just might have to catch 'em all. Then the possibility of animals roaming the park with droids? That is just totally mind blowing. I get goosebumps just thinking about the level of immersion we're about to be delivered. It's starting to feel like one might actually be able to lose track of reality in this place. I can't wait! Which of these announcements excites you the most? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Disney Parks Announce Opening Season For "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge"
Disney Parks has announced the opening seasons for both Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge parks. Disneyland's is scheduled to open in the summer next year with Hollywood Studio's version following closely behind, opening late fall. Not sure why the gap between the two. Either Hollywood Studio's park is planned bigger, or they're planning on trying to open the Star Wars themed resort at the same time. This announcement just makes the whole thing that much more real. I'm more excited about these lands than I am for any Star Wars release. Didn't dream I was going to have to wait until late fall for it. This is gonna be a hard one. I almost don't even want any sneak peeks, just so it can all hit me at once. And though I'm saying that now, I know I'm lying. If I can, I'm gonna know this place's whole layout before I even step foot in the place. Hell, I've been waiting for this my whole life, & just didn't know it. Who else is already planning next year's seasons around these openings? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Check Out The Size Of The Upcoming "Guardians Of The Galaxy" Epcot Attraction
Not much to see, but a while lot of work has already been done on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy attraction coming soon to Epcot in Walt Disney World. Disney Parks Blog has put up this first look at where there at so far. The 3 Olympic size swimming pools worth of foundation have been layed. This really is going to be one heck of a long indoor coaster. I think they're shooting for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary, so even though it'll feel like it, we don't have too long to wait. I'm very curious for this one. I'm one of the few people who dug The Energy Ride, so for me this has big shoes to fill.
New Zebra Foals Announced At Disney's Animal Kingdom!! Zebra Babies!!
Look at those adorable stripes! Disney Parks Blog helped Disney's Animal Kingdom announce the births of two female Grevy's zebra foals. Grevy'szebras are the most endangered species of zebra, with approximately 2,500 in the world. The first foal was born April 26 to Laylee, with the second born to Zuri on May 1. They're nursing and bonding with their moms right now, hoping to join the herd on Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail overlook soon. These births mark another success for Disney's animal care experts and the Species Survival Plan, a program through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums that helps ensure a diverse, healthy population of threatened and endangered species. These zebra foals are making an important contribution toward the worldwide conservation and understanding of the Grevy's species, helping to ensure a future for these endangered animals. It's awesome how much Animal Kingdom does to help protect all these endangered species. To make another point though, aren't those little foals so friggin cute? Can't wait to see these guys in person. Put your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.
New Looks At Toy Story Land And A Ride On The Slinky Dog!!
GMA did a big feature on Hollywood Studios' upcoming Toy Story Land this morning. Some of the stand outs included a look the Flying Saucer attraction. I still can't make much out of this thing. The claw's involved in the middle, but it looks like the aliens just pull you around in a circle. I really hope there's more to it than that. As boring as that sounds, it's all I can make of it from what I've seen. Next, there was this ride through of the Slinky Dog Rollercoaster. Which if I'm being honest looks almost too tame. I won't know for sure until a hands on, but for right now I'm more excited by the Wheezy after the coaster that will be singing "You Got A Friend In Me". Not the best first look for me. I'm just gonna have to hope that come June 30th being shrunk down to the size of a toy will be better in person. What do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Can't Go To Pandora? Check Out The 360 Video!!
Disney Parks just put out this awesome 360 of Disney Animal Kingdom's Pandora: The World of Avatar. I fell completely in love with this place from my first visit on opening day. If you can't see this wonder, take some time to check it out in the amazing 360 video. It's so awesome we have the ability to do things like this now. Throw some VR goggles on & this is the closest thing you'll get to being there yourself. This is by far the most immersive attraction I've ever seen to date. This land plucks you out of the real world, & tosses you right into an alien planet. Love this place! Check it out, & let me know what you think. Put it in the comments, like, & share.
New "Play Disney Parks" App Coming In Time To Relieve Your Summer Queue Pains
Disney just announced an awesome new FREE app coming to Android & iOS sometime this summer. Play Disney Parks is said to let us explore Disneyland & Walt Disney World in a whole new way. This app will access exclusive experiences that interact with the surrounding environment. Turning wait times into play times, there's more to discover the more you explore the Disney parks. This sounds really fun. Not only that, I'll take anything to keep the kids busy in line. No telling what they have in store for this. The various games in the park such as Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom & the Agent P found in Epcot are so interactive. Playing affects hidden animatronics throughout the parks. I'm wondering if some of that will make it into this app? Can't wait to hear more about this one. This could shape up to being something really fun. What do y'all think? Any hopes & ideas on what features this app will have? Put it in the comments, like & share.
Something New Walking Around Pandora: The World of Avatar
It's no secret how much I love Animal Kingdom's Pandora: The World Of Avatar. Ever since opening day, this has become one of my favorite places in the world. Or off the world, however you look at it. The level of immersion is nothing short of spectacular. My last visit I noticed something though. Besides the Drum Circle, there's no interaction with natives of the land. It's in Disneyworld, so shouldn't there be some kind of characters roaming around? Well as usual, Disney must have heard the thoughts in my head because this just popped up today. That cool power-walker thingy everyone takes pics with? Now it looks like someone will be walking one through the park. Or a toned down version at least. Talk about a awesome photo op. I just wish we all got the pleasure of manning one of these now. I at least want one for home. That thing's friggin awesome. There's also a making of the exo-suit video explaining why this one is different from the more war-monger like exo-suits from the film. All in all, it makes one of the most immersive lands I've ever seen, even more so. What do y'all think though? Excited to see some life on Pandora? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Check Out The New Character Costumes For "Donald's Dino-Bash"
Disney's Animal Kingdom is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, & May 25th they're kicking off Donald's Dino-Bash . Join Donald, Daisy, Scrooge, Launchpad, Pluto, Chip, & Dale as they party in Dino-Land U.S.A.. Disney just released this concept art of the characters new costumes for the celebration. Donald & Daisy have some cool, new dino-inspired threads, but I'm really loving Chip & Dale in their full out costumes. I wanna dress like various characters from Jurrasic Park, & get my picture took with them. What do y'all think of the wardrobe changes? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
First Look At What We Can Expect From Inside The Millennium Falcon Ride!
An in-progress sequence from the Millennium Falcon attraction has been unveiled, & Nvidia put up this pic as well as some details on what we can expect from this ride when we visit Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when it opens next year. The pic's a little lackluster, but the over technical details are amazing. Produced by ILMxLAB, & running in real time, this was the first glimpse of the highly immersive attraction. Walt Disney Imagineering teamed with Nvidia & Epic Games to develop the new tech. Riders will enter the cockpit, which much like Mission: Space will have buttons & knobs, giving you the chance to "pilot" the Falcon. Here's where it gets technical though. The cockpit will be powered with a single BOXX chassis packed witheight high-end NVIDIA Quadro P6000 GPUs, connected via Quadro SLI. Quadro Synch will synchronize five projectors for creating ultra-high resolution & perfectly timed displays to fully immerse guests in planet Batuu. The team created a custom multi-GPU implementation for Unreal Engine. Anyone who plays games knows what that is. “We worked with NVIDIA engineers to use Quadro-specific features like Mosaic and cross-GPU reads to develop a renderer that had performance characteristics we needed,” says Bei Yang, technology studio executive at Disney Imagineering. “Using the eight connected GPUs allowed us to achieve performance unlike anything before.” Most of that was even too technical for me, but from what I got out of it, this definitely is not going to be your average simulator. Five projectors? This is one of my most anticipated parts of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I can't wait for more on this. What do ya'll think? Does this sound awesome? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Construction Video Gives A Sense Of The Massive Scale Of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
Disney Park put up this video of how the construction's coming along on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland, Ca. Until this video I didn't have a real sense of the scale of this project. Galaxy's Edge is going to be huge. I don't know if it's my eyes playing trick, but this place seems to dwarf Pandora in Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is about how far the progress was the first time I saw Pandora actually. Leaving me to wonder what exactly is going to be visible when I visit Hollywood Studios next weekend? I'll try to get some good pics up on Instagram. What do y'all think? Is this shaping up to be everything you ever dreamed of? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
#FollowTheBall To Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land
This was a really cool way to bring attention to the June 30th opening date for Toy Story Land In Hollywood Studios. Disney invited all to #FollowTheBall as it made it's way there. These videos of the Pixar ball rolling through different Toy Story teases were really fun. From the "live action" versions to the Slinky Dog following the ball home, I really liked these commercials. The last one gives a look at the entrance to the new land. I can't wait. We'll be there day 1 so everyone can get a look as soon as this opens.
Check Out Progress At Toy Story Land In Both Orlando & Shanghai!!
Wow! Disney Parks just put up this look at all the progress so far for Toy Story Land In both Shanghai Disneyland & Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Last week we found out they'll be opening in Hollywood Studios on June 30th, & now we get a look at a little of what to expect in action. Though I'm not as excited about this as say, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I have a feeling that will change when I get a real sense of the scale of the place. It looks huge! Slinky Dog's starting to grow on me a little now too. It's ride just looks so smooth. I still say, I'm a little more impressed by the look of Shanghai's version, but in all honesty, I'm totally blown away by everything I see in that park. Check this out, & let me know what y'all think. I can't wait to see this place! Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Save The Date! Toy Story Land To Open June 30!
I know where I'm going to be June 30th!! Hollywood Studios for the opening of Toy Story Land. While it's not Pandora, & definitely no Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the idea of being shrunk down to the size of a toy does sound pretty awesome. Funny thing is I have a feeling this is going to blow me away, as I have pretty mediocre expectations for it in the first place. Gonna give it the full treatment though when it opens though. We'll be talkin' rides, food, merch, & just overall atmosphere & immersion level. Personally out of everything I've heard so far, I can't wait to get an old fashioned float. However, that said, I'm very curious about the Aliens Flying Saucers, & that Slinky Dash coaster is starting to grow on me the more I see it in action. It looks so smooth on the track. Anyway, can't wait. A date makes it that much more official. Are y'all excited? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
All The Disney Park Announcements From D23 Expo Japan
While definitely not as big as last year's D23 Expo, this year in Japan we got some more on last year's developments, as well as some pretty significant new developments. Of course there's also plenty of concept art to go with. First of all, we now have a date for the opening of Pixar Pier. June 23, 2018 is the official date to visit the four new neighborhoods representing Pixar stories with newly themed attractions, food, merchandise, & the rebranding of the Incredicoaster. I wish I could make it over there for this. It sounds pretty amazing.
Speaking of Pixar Pier, there was also this awesome concept art for the new float to be joining the Paint the Night parade. It will feature characters from The Incredibles, showcasing their powers with high-tech, pop-art effects. I'm not one to get excited for a float but this one looks, well, incredible.
After that attention switched over to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. They revisited the Star Wars themed hotel that will join the land. Now we learned the hotel will be a luxury hotel that will not only feature a fully immersive adventure, but it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge letting the full immersion continue into the park. Speaking if the park they released some things to expect. The lands will feature a life size Millennium Falcon, as well as a full size fleet of X-Wings. Them there's the two attractions to be featured mentioned again. With the chance to fly the Falcon, & the ability to stand on a Star Destroyer in the middle of a First Order/Resistance battle.
After Star Wars, the attention was shifted to Marvel where we found out the new Guardians of the Galaxy themed coaster coming to Epcot will be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world. Following that awesome revelation, Disneyland Paris was informed their Rock n Roller Coaster, a personal favorite of mine, will be getting a total reimagining where you'll now team up with Iron-Man & The Avengers. This is really cool, but if they follow suit in Hollywood Studios, I'll really miss the music of Aerosmith throughout the coaster.
Hong Kong will get in on the Marvel action as well. They already have the Iron-Man Experience, & now you will be able to team up with Ant-Man & The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola & a army of Hydra Swarm bots. That's all the details but this attraction got most of the cool concept art.
Last but definitely not least we get some concept art for one I'm really looking forward to. The first ever Mickey Mouse themed ride through attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. Opening in Hollywood Studios in 2019 this will take place of one of my all-time favorites, The Great Movie Ride. This ride will zap us right in the middle of an original story, Mickey Mouse cartoon short.
Like I said, all in all not as amazing as last year's big reveals, but some awesome follow ups & concept art though. What do y'all think of these developments? Looks like 2019 is going to be a huge year. Put it in the comments, like, & share.
No Name Change For Hollywood Studios & New Toy Story Land Concept Art
A lot of sites have been recently talking about a name change for Disney's Hollywood Studios to Cinemagine Park. This was from the supposed list if names from a good while back, which were all pretty horrible. I wasn't going to talk about it until confirmation, & I'm very happy to say it's not going to happen anyway. Due to all the reports to the contrary, Disney Parks Blog wanted to let everyone know that Disney's Hollywood Studios will be named just that for the foreseeable future. As a consolation prize we were given this concept pic of the upcoming Aliens Flying Saucers from this summer's Toy Story Land. Don't really know what to take from the pic l, as there is a lot going on there. It looks like a cross between the old flying saucers from way back Disneyland, bumper cars, & Luigi's Tire Ride from current Disneyland. I've never been to Disneyland, so I can't really pull from experience. Sometimes these concept art pieces come off too animated to really get ahold of what's real. Still it looks bright, big, & fun no matter what. The real thing here is thank the makers we don't have to attend Toy Story Land in Cinemagine Park. What do y'all think though? Who's rode Luigi over at Disneyland? Does this look similar? Did you like the name? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
