I was not expecting this while watching the Academy Awards last night, & at first I was a little confused at the timing. I mean, this film doesn't release until Christmas. I'll be surprised if anyone remembers this by August's Christopher Robin. Then I realized who this was for, when I saw how surprised & excited my mom was. She had no idea Mary Poppins Returns was even going to be a thing. As big as Disney wants this to be, it makes a lot of sense to go ahead & put it in people's heads. That said, I enjoyed the hell out of this tease. I felt the same emotions I felt with "We're home" tease from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This short tease gives you a quick intro to the family, as well as your first look at Emma Blunt as Mary Poppins. Might I say, she looks practically perfect in every way. Anyway, this was a very unexpected surprise, & an amazing teaser or announcement trailer. So amazing that who knows?
