With May's Avengers: Infinity War seeming to be getting here faster as it's gets closer, actual plot details for what to expect have been slim. Now we might have more of a clear picture as to where this is going. According to Collider, co-director Anthony Russo has now revealed that not only will Thanos (Josh Brolin) himself act like the "lead" of this film, but the story will also have the tone of a heist film with him hunting down the Infinity Stones. I heard this yesterday right after my first thoughts on Thor: Ragnarok , see that here. So, I was already pretty pumped. After hearing this though? I'm now more excited about this than I've been for any Marvel movie save The Avengers. First, I love heist movies. They are probably one of my favorite genres of movie. It's entertaining to see people pull off the impossible. More so, wouldn't it be awesome to watch an evil, super-powered Ocean's 11? Now second, & not really it should be first, Marvel has gave us nothing really when it comes to Thanos. We know all the Avengers & they can throw us more, but it just makes sense for this film to focus on Thanos, the unknown. They've been selling him to us as the villain of all villains. It pleases me to no end that it's sounding like now they're going to take the time to back up that sell. What do y'all think though? Heist film? Thanos lead? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Production Starts On Fourth Avengers, Or The Purple Glove
The Russo's took to Instagram to announce production on the fourth Avengers film. They posted this picture with the words "Beginning the end." Still untitled, this has been told to be the movie that sums up the 22 films at that point of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So the words pretty much just convey that notion. The real question is the significance of this picture? The web has ran wild with it & speculation points mainly to Kang the Conqueror. I have to say considering the context this makes a lot of sense. What better way to end the 22 film arc than with a time-traveling villain. Add that too the newest announcement of the shape-shifting Skrulls being introduced via Captain Marvel in the past, pre-Iron Man, & we've all the sudden got many directions to go for the future of the MCU. I'm not sure how the movie going audience will take stories like these if that's the way we are going. Being a comic fan though, I can attest to these being the stories that have fueled Marvel. I'm excited about all these different directions being introduced. What about y'all? Any ideas to whom this ominous purple glove may belong to? Any feelings on the introduction of the time-traveling Kang? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
