Disney Reveals Name of Tokyo DisneySea's 8th Port

After breaking ground in what is to become Tokyo DisneySea's 8th port, we now have its official name. Fantasy Springs will be the title, but that's not all Dismey released on the subject. They also released some beautiful day & night concept art depicting the look of the new lands. Oriental land is investing 250 Billion Yen on this project that will feature lands themed to Frozen, Tangled, & Peter Pan. Frozen's land of post film Arendelle will feature an attraction that tells the story of Elsa and her beloved sister, Anna. Sounding like the familiar Epcot ride, suests will board boats and experience the sisters’ heartfelt journey, enjoying songs from the film, and encountering surprising thrills. There will also be a restaurant set inside the beautiful Arendelle Castle. Tangled's land will naturally feature  Rapunzel’s tower rising above the forest. It will also include an boat attraction where guests will board gondolas for a romantic boat tour of Rapunzel’s “Best Day Ever” as she journeys with Flynn to the lantern festival. Flickering lanterns illuminate the attraction’s climactic scene while Rapunzel and Flynn sing an iconic song from the film. The pand will also feature a restaurant, inspired by the hideout of the band of thugs who appeared in the film in the "I've Got A Dream" sequence. Neverland will also be home to two attractions and a restaurant. Featuring landmarks including verdant mountains, Captain Hook’s pirate ship and Skull Rock. One attraction will fly over the jungles of Neverland into a battle with Captain Hook and his crew of pirates to rescue Wendy’s younger brother, John, who has been kidnapped by Captain Hook and his pirates. You'll board boats and follow the Lost Boys down a river until Tinker Bell sprinkles the boats with pixie dust, & you take off flying through Neverland on an adventure that featuring iconic music and dynamic 3D imagery of the characters from the film. The second attraction immerses us in the oversized world of Pixie Hollow, while the restaurant is inspired by the Lost Boys and their hideout. There will also be a new Disney Hllyel in the park. Themed to Disney fantasy, it will rise above and around the magical springs that serve as the core of the new themed port’s story. Offering 475 deluxe-type and luxury-type guest rooms, this park facing hotel will also feature a merchandise shop that helps share the story of the magical springs. One day I'll make it out here to see all the amazingly beautiful things TokyoSea has to offer. Luckily, I have one more reason to postpone that adventure until this amazing new addition is done.

Major Tokyo DisneySea Expansion! Tangled, Frozen, & Peter Pan!

The Oriental Land Co., Ltd. has announced that an agreement has been reached with The Walt Disney Company on plans for developing a new themed port at Tokyo Disneysea, including a new hotel. With this, the licenses for the Disney theme parks along with other licenses between The Walt Disney Company & Oriental will be extended to 2076. The expansion at Tokyo Disneysea will create an eighth "magical springs" themed port, comprised of three distinct areas recreating the worlds of the Disney films Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan. The deluxe hotel will contain some of the most luxurious accommodations ever at Tokyo Disney Resort. Most excitingly, four new attractions will be developedfor this expansion. Operations are projected to begin in fiscal year 2022, with Oriental Land investing about 250 billion yen. The largest investment to date for existing facilities. This combined with the large changes coming to Tokyo Disneyland, scheduled to start operations in 2020, I'm gonna start putting back a little every year until a 2022-23ish trip to Tokyo Disneyland. This all came with this awesome concept art, letting us get a little taste of what to expect. Out of all of it, hands down, Peter Pan looks amazing. With Tangled coming in a close second. I'm loving this new immersion trend running through the parks. This is gonna be fun! What do y'all think? Are y'all trying to make future plans to Tokyo as well? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Tokyo Disneyland Puts You In The Center Of The Magic With Their 35th Anniversary Projection Show

It's probably going to be awhile before I ever make it over to Tokyo Disneyland. Which is really a shame, they have some really cool stuff going on right now. Luckily, we are in the age of the interwebs, & I can live vicariously through others. WDW News Today has been there all week, & they keep sharing some very interesting videos of what the park is doing to celebrate 35 years. This one is their projection show, & while it's not quite the spectacle of Happily Ever After , it has to get extra points for being done in what is almost 360-vision. The way this is set up all around you has to send you into a state of awe. I would probably find myself spinning in circles, not knowing which way to look. This is definitely a beautiful sight, even on video. I would love to be surrounded by this in person. Until then, keep putting up these awesome video WDWNT!

New Park For Disneyland Tokyo & Toy Story Land For Disneyland Shanghai

This first part is still pretty far off in the future with further plans to be revealed in May 2018, & construction beginning in 2025. Viral Disney has reported that Disney & it's partners in the Oriental Land Company have revealed plans for an all-new Japanese theme park with the focus on it's host country with new characters. It will be focused on the culture of Japan much like California Adventure to California most likely. That's about all there is on that, but if you factor in Studio Ghibli they already have some very interesting things already sharing the Disney branding. I'm very curious to see where this is going, I've been thinking about planning a trip to Japan just for Disneyland. I might have to postpone it if this thing looks really cool. The next bit is way more fleshed out, but that's probably because it's right around the corner. WDW News Today reports Shanghai's Disneyland's Toy Story Land, opening summer 2018, has released some concept art & details about the layout. I hate to say, their Toy Story Land looks like it's gonna destroy ours. Shanghai's Toy Story Land looks huge with some awesome attractions. Slinky Dog Spin, where you'll take a seat inside Slinky Dog's spirals & race around a wavy roundabout. There's Rex's Racer, an RC car that goes forwards & backwards increasing height & speed. They'll have Woody's Round-Up where you'll swing to & fro in time to lively music in pony drawn carts. After that there's the obvious Meeting Post (Meet & Greet), Al's Toy Barn (Merchandise), & the Toy Box Café (Restaurant). The whole land is set up around immersion on a Pandora: World of Avatar level. There's a whole story of being shrunk down to toy size that goes with the land. I'm really blown away by these concept photos. If you haven't seen some of the ride videos already from Disneyland in Shanghai watch them. This park is becoming a must-see very quickly. What do y'all think of these amazing additions? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
