When I first heard a about JOJO RABBIT, I was instantly intrigued. I've been all about some Taika Waititi since Thor: Ragnarok, however the only way to talk about this trailer is to lead with the synopsis: “a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.” In theaters October 18th, this trailer is absolutely nuts. This is going to be disturbingly funny as all hell or just plain disturbing. Either way I'm all in. Ragnarok was hilarious, & some really dark material was covered through the funny. If Waititi can conjure up that same formula here, this is gonna be amazing. What do y'all think? Disturbing or disturbingly funny? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
