What's going on with the Star Wars Universe? There's the excruciatingly extensive reshoots for Rogue One, directors being fired from the untitled Han Solo film, the fact that we are still calling it the untitled Han Solo film, & now a re-write for the script of the upcoming, also untitled Star Wars: Episode IX. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jack Thorne will re-write the script for the upcoming cap to the current main-story trilogy. Thorne best known for a lot of British television shows, the upcoming Wonder, & the stage play Harry Potter & the Cursed Child. Out of all this, I'm most familiar with Potter. However, reading plays is not my cup of tea, so I still haven't made it through the book. I have not really heard great things from people that have. I haven't heard bad things, just more of a "meh", type attitude towards it. This does worry me a little, but so far this new Lucasfilm has been two for two, three for three if you count Star Wars: Rebels (I do). Part of me really wants to see that original story, before the tragic loss of Carrie Fisher. Just to see how much detouring has to be done. Originally it was said that Princess Leia was to have a big part in that film. I have no reason so far to doubt that they'll pull it off in the long run. It is kinda crazy though, how much trouble these Star Wars films have been to develop. What do y'all think? Starting to worry? Or is this not as serious as knowing what the upcoming Han Solo is called? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
