It's been a pretty rough road for the upcoming stand-alone Han Solo film. I've even went as far as saying they should make a movie about the ordeal to making this movie. Which despite rumors that LEGO gave it away, we still don't officially have a title for. Now however, a small ray of light shines down on the Millenium Falcon as director Ron Howard has announced via Twitter that Donald Glover has officially wrapped his work as Lando on the untitled film. He actually used #UntitledHanSoloMovie, which I would totally say use for my aforementioned movie about the behind-the-scenes hell of making this one. That aside, this is finally some good news involving the Han Solo film. It lets us know there is a chance this thing is on track now & they're actually making some progress. I've still got hope that this thing can be good, & I've heard rebellions are built on hope.. Lucasfilm owned by Disney hasn't done us too wrong yet, I've enjoyed everything they've put out so far. That includes the books & comics. Though some have not been great, nothing they've released has been bad yet. Let's let this small completion be the first sign that everything else is behind this now, & Ron Howard has it back on track. Fingers crossed, May 25, 2018 isn't getting further away. What do y'all think of this? Just an inevitable completion, or a sign of things starting to go right? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Studio May Have Got Real Creative With The Name For Untitled Han Solo Film
If there was only a way to convey sarcastic tone in text. It would have definitely been used in the title to this. The name to the upcoming young Han Solo may have been revealed by accident, & we might have been wasting the word "untitled" the whole time. While there's a chance this could be just a mockup used to place-hold until the title is developed, Screenrant came across Twitter user Girl With The Staff's posted image of some toy production materials. Highlighting some new Star Wars microfighters Lego sets, there was a logo with a "Confidential" watermark stamped across it. It revealed the title as Han Solo: A Star Wars Story. I know, totally revealing title. Definitely worth all the speculation. This is the title I've been using in my pics. So, going off this & Rogue One: A Star Wars Story it's probably going to be safe to put your money on Ben's movie being called Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Star Wars Story. This title for Han Solo is not in concrete as it really hasn't been confirmed, but that doesn't mean it doesn't make since. I was kinda hoping for a title that had a little more of the films substance to it, but hell, I'll just take any name now. What do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Michael K. Wiliams Cut From Whatever We're Going To Call The Han Solo Movie
Am I the only person starting to wish a week could go by without hearing bad news from the upcoming Han Solo movie? And while I'm asking questions, why do we still not know what this thing is called? It's a mess, & this bit is just another example of such. In a Deadline exclusive Michael Kenneth Williams (The Night Of, The Wire) has now had his role cut from the upcoming stand-alone. With Ron Howard doing extensive reshoots, he needed Williams to come back. However, Williams schedule will not allow any leeway until the end of November. Considering this would push back the release date they had to, in his words, "...clip-clip-clip". He was to play a half-human, half-animal character he described as a "kick-ass character". I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but this whole movie is starting to feel forced. Almost to the extent of stubbornly. I'm going to trust the decision for now as it could be a small, insignificant part, that's easily cut out & replaced. It's a shame, I enjoy Michael K. Williams in everything he pops up in. This whole ordeal that is the untitled Han Solo, is starting to really warrant a movie about the making of the movie though. Michael seemed like there wasn't any bad blood & even mentioned he doesn't think his not being in the Star Wars family is final. We'll still have to wait until May 25th, 2018 to see if this ting can be put back together. Until then what do y'all think? Is this thing starting to look like Humpty Dumpty? Death Star To Make an Appearance In Han Solo Film?
Ron Howard put up this pic of a Death Star trooper helmet with the caption "The Empire Looms Large". This has head many to believe that the planet-killing Death Star will be making yet another appearance in the upcoming Han Solo film. This immediately caught me off guard. One reason is because I was under the impression we were going back a little further than that. The other is considering Han is pretty surprised by the notion of the giant space-station when first seen in A New Hope. Meaning at most, if it appears it will be outside of Solo's presence most likely. Leaving me to think, why have it at all? Then I thought, what if those helmets were used for all space-station operation. The Empire was a machine. If those were just used for operators they would probably be used for operators in many space-stations. Just a thought, we won't know for sure until this things released. So until then what do y'all think? Death Star or another station? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Trying To See How Many Different Characters One Can Be In A Single Galaxy, Warwick Davis Confirmed For Untitled Han Solo
I'm starting to feel like they're not going to tell us the name of this movie until we've already paid for it, & are sitting in the theaters. Last week EW reported Ron Howard's confirmation of Warwick Davis to the film. If this was a Marvel film we would be wondering if he was a Watcher, as the rumor goes for Stan Lee. I only say this because this will mark his fifth time appearing in the Star Wars universe. Debuting at 11 as the Ewok, Wicket, he's also made appearances in The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens, & Rogue One. I loved Warwick Davis for probably all my years watching movies. Jedi is probably the first movie I remember seeing in a theater, & Willow is actually one of my favorite movies. Lucky guy, he's in a position to be able to appear in these films that started his career in the first place, & be totally different characters. Anyway, great addition, can we just get a name for this thing? May 25th, 2018. We've got less than a year & don't know what to call this thing. Still No Name, Untitled Han Solo Film Has A Composer
I had been hearing that this had happened, but to be honest, my knowledge of composers is slim. I can probably name four, recognize a couple more if I hear their names, & I'm sure I'll think half of what I hear is John Williams. Keeping with the spirit of first names though, another John, John Powell, will compose the score this time around for the young, scruffy looking nerf-herder. If that means nothing to you don't sell yourself short, you're not the only one. It took me watching Collider the next day to find out I do remember this guy's work, even if I don't know his name. While I don't remember the music of the Bourne series or Kung Fu Panda, I do recall being blown away by the Academy Award winning music of How To Train Your Dragon. It really stood out to me during the film, & probably is the sole reason I actually remember that non-Disney animated motion picture. I've noticed that I really enjoy some of the other animated pictures out there. However, most non-Disney animated films seem to not have the lasting impression on me that Disney provides. Anyway, in my limited knowledge of composers, & my first thought being "that's not John Williams", I at least know there is something this guy worked on that I enjoyed thoroughly. They did also mention that this will stay true to the spirit of Star Wars, while retaining Powell's "distinctive voice". So it will probably still seem pretty familiar. When are they going to get a name for this thing though? Let us know what you think of this addition down in the comments, like, & share.
Untitled Han Solo, I'm Getting A Bad Feeling About This
This Han Solo thing just seems to be on an unending downhill slope. With bad news just pouring from this film, now according to Screenrant, THR, in a write-up on problems plaguing Solo from the start, mentions Lucasfilm hired an acting coach late in production for Ehrenreich to get a better performance. Ouch. Not something you want to hear from a film that we're already hearing some nightmarish scenarios out of. It's not out of the norm to hire an acting coach, but it is strange late in the game. They do make sure to mention Lucasfilm used the words "not entirely satisfied". Which does leave room to think that it wasn't a total loss. I mean, they liked it enough to invest in a coach. If there's a silver lining to all this, at least all parties seem to know that they have to get Han Solo right, whether or not the film itself is good or bad. So, is it time to worry? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.
Han Solo Alden Ehrenreich "Shot First"
Watching Collider & apparently in a report from Starwarsnewsnet.com our new Han Solo, Alden Ehrenreich was the first to bring it to the producers that the screwball comedy direction Lord & Miller were going in was changing the tone & story of the film. A source even went as far to describe it as "oddly comparable to Jim Carrey's performance in Ace Ventura at times." This info caused the higher ups to check everything out, & we know what happened next. I can't blame this guy. He's already in a no win situation. He's gotta live up to one of the most iconic characters to ever be on film. Not only that, if this thing goes all pear shaped he will be the one to take all the blame. Not saying that's fair, but that's what will happen. On another note, I still can't help but think. "What the hell is Ron Howard getting handed to him?" Is this thing salvageable? Or do they just scrap months of shooting, & restart? This is all the sudden becoming a movie of it's own. I'm sure the behind the scenes features on the Blu-Ray are going to be pretty interesting. Let me know your thoughts down below.
Star Wars Untitled Han Solo Film Has Ron Howard Stepping In To Direct
After severing ties with Lord & Miller over creative differences we later learned were ongoing throughout filming the untitled Han Solo film has tapped former Happy Days alum, & very accomplished director Ron Howard. Best known for Splash, Cocoon, Willow, Apollo 13, & many more amazing films, he will take the helm after three or so months of shooting have already been completed. The release date unchanging, it's makes me wonder how much of this will be saved? I mean, these directors have two totally different styles. I'm hoping this doesn't feel like two separate movies mashed together now. At least no one will get worried about reshoots now, because I can pretty much guarantee those will be a thing. I was already worried about a flashback to this already classic, almost untouchable character. I won't start the emergency sirens yet, but let's just say as much as I love Ron Howard as a director, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this. Let me know what you think? Is there trouble on the horizon for Han Solo or not? Let us know in the comments, like, & share.
Still Untitled, Han Solo Film Fires Director Pair Lord & Miller
"Phil Lord & Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast & crew, but it's become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, & we've decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon." That was the quote from Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm on StarWars.com. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller are most known for pulling off what seemed impossible in making a great movie about building blocks, The LEGO Movie. They had to say, "Unfortunately, our vision & process weren't aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren't fans of the phrase 'creative differences' but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing & world-class work of our cast & crew. The film has been shooting for awhile now & remains scheduled for May 2018. I'm not sure what to think here. I was excited to see these guys take on something not in the realm of a full comedic nature. I never know what to take out of the term "creative differences". You would figure these guys go through a type of interview setting where they would get that all on the table, but I'm starting to think studios want a big name so bad they hire & talk about it later. The scary part of this is this leaves Han Solo with no one at the helm & less than a year to go. Curious to see who's shoulders this fall on, & how long the now dreaded, inevitable re-shoots will take. What do y'all think? Is it time to have a bad feeling about this? And should studios start to go over these things in more detail? We see more & more of this every day. Leave it in the comments, like, & share.

In this new video Warwick, takes us on a tour of the set showing at the fabulous parking lot, the "Millennium Falcon" of vending machines, and last but not least office supplies. Bob Iger Drops Some Star Wars Knowledge
Knowledge, or spoilers, however you look at it. That being said only you can decide to read further. According to THR Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, just teased a little of all things Star Wars. First, regarding the untimely death of Carrie Fisher, he stated that they will not be changing episode VIII and that her performance will remain as is. He mentioned how in Rogue one they used a digital character and went on to let us know that they will not be doing that this time around. He didn't stop there though as he also let us know that they're looking at what could be another decade-and-a-half of Star Wars films and while not enlighting us on any more details of this he also made point to let us know that the untitled Han Solo film will span from Hans life 18 to 24. We'll also get to see him first meet his co-pilot Chewbacca and we'll find out how he was able to find the infamous Millennium Falcon. Hopefully, also involving some sort of Sabaac game but he didn't want to give us anything on that.
Woody Harrelson Name Drops His Character Name
Even more news from my favorite ex-bartender. Setting down with the "Tonight Show", Woody Harrelson stated that while not a "fanatic" that when it comes to Star Wars "it's nice to be part of". He also just casually throws in, "I play a guy named Beckett who's kind of a criminal & mentor to Han. Not sure if he was fully aware this was the first time we heard his character's name for the upcoming untitled Han Solo film. Star Wars fans are notorious for calling any small amount of info spoilers. For me, this is just a name. Could've been Dave & it would still be just the same. What do y'all think? Spoiler/Non-Spoiler? Change any views or guesses, or could care less? Let us know in the comments.
Han Solo to be Best Star Wars Movie Ever?
Yes. In an interview with Collider, Woody Harrelson was asked what it was like to work with co-directors Phil Lord & Chris Miller on the untitled Han Solo film. To which he replied, "They're great. You know, any movie's only as good as the director or in this case directors, and so I have a suspicion, because if you look at the whole, all the movies, the backlog of every one of these movies, there's a lot of great stuff, but one might not be as good with the writing in this or the acting in that or the directing in that. This has great actors, great directors, great script, and I really feel like we're going to make the best one."
There you go. Straight out of the mouth of the man who used to bar-back for Sam Malone at Cheers. Han Solo will be the best Star Wars movie. Normally, I would argue, but who's to go against on of the best actors alive today? Especially when he's speaking about an all-star cast & the two directors who, A, brought a old TV show to the big screen & succeeded, but who B, made LEGO, a toy about building things with little blocks, into an amazingly funny animated movie. What do you think? Can Han Solo be the best Star Wars movie ever?
