ESPN put out this "documentary", 95: The Untold Story Of Lightning McQueen, & it was awesome. I wish this would have played right before Cars 3. This puts the whole film in perspective. Starting with a throwback to the original film. Then, moving into some background into what happened in-between then & now. Go ESPN, Disney*Pixar, & director Morgan Spurlock. I hope this is on the Blu-Ray release.
Can't Wait To Finish This Clip Of "Lou" Today To Start Off "Cars 3"
Disney*Pixar released this clip of "Lou". The story of a toy stealing bully ruining recess, & the only thing in his way is a "Lost & Found" box. Or else whatever is living inside. This is the short featurette directed by Dave Mullins & produced by Dana Murray that will precede Cars 3. I wasn't intrigued until I saw this clip, & now this definitely has piqued my interest.
I Thought I Couldn't Get More Excited For "Cars 3" (Newest Trailer)
This trailer is perfect, all the way down to the choice of song. I'll be honest when the first Cars came out I was a naysayer all the way up to the point of the movie's release. I just didn't see what you could possibly make about talking cars that would be worth watching. I was wrong. This wound up becoming, & still is, one of my favorite Pixar films. I couldn't believe how much heart it had. Then the sequel came. I felt as if I got a slapstick, cartoonish version of the original classic as a follow-up. When the third was announced I had no hope. However, since the first teaser trailer of Cars 3, I've been pumped for this. It really looks like they've toned it back & got more into a more down to earth, as real as talking cars can be story. That's what I think got to me about the sequel, it was a spy story, not a cars story. This trailer also wants to remind you this is a Pixar movie as well with some word from the late Paul Newman's Doc Hudson. To stir up the emotions as Pixar does best. What do y'all think of this trailer? Are y'all as excited for Cars 3 as I am? Let us know in the comments, like, & share. Also, don't forget to look for the movie review on Friday.
Pixar's "Cars 3" Gets A New Trailer
New trailer for the upcoming Cars 3. This one showcases some more of Arnie Hammer's Jackson Storm, Lightning McQueen's (Owen Wilson) new high-tech rival. You also get some more hilarious looks at Lightning's Rocky-esque training with race tech Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) in an attempt to make a comeback at the Florida 500 after a rather nasty accident. All these trailers are pointing to a turnaround from the lackluster sequel. I not only really like this trailer, I've seen nothing so far that worries me that this movie won't be anything but great. I would love to see this too, as I adored the first Cars. Probably more than a grown man should for that matter. Anyway, what do you think of this new trailer? Let us know in the comments, like, & share.
New Cars 3 Trailer is Here
The Cars 3 trailer has arrived. This one definitely looks like it's taking itself way more seriously this time around, & in my eyes that's a good thing. I wasn't a fan of the sequel to Cars. Which was a shame, because I really enjoyed the first outing. Mainly because of how serious it seemed to take itself, while being a movie abut talking cars. Much like this one looks, it tackled some serious issues. This time around it looks like the issue at hand is Owen Wilson's, Lightning McQueen coming to grips with not being able to keep up with younger, faster up & coming race cars. A real concern in life, not just for sports either. After leaving the track early via the accident seen in the teaser earlier in the year we get to follow McQueen's journey back to he track. With the help of newcomer Cruz Ramirez voiced by Cristela Alonzo he has to fight his way to not only be back in shape, but enough to take on faster than lightning (punny huh?) Armie Hammer as Jackson Storm for the Piston Cup. We're kinda moving away from the plot of Days Of Thunder. Anyway, I can't wait. This trailer was great; really got a sense of what they're going for this time around without giving it all away. What do y'all think? Cars 3? Let us know in the comments.
Animated Short "Lou" Gets Poster
Disney released a new poster for "LOU". That's the animated short that will accompany "Cars 3". Directed by Dave Mullins & Dana Murphy, it's about a monster who lives in a Lost & Found box. It's supposed to have a strong anti-bullying message, & considering it's Pixar I'm sure it'll tug at our heartstrings as well. When I first saw this poster, if I wouldn't have read the title, I just thought it was a random stack of toys. So, as a poster I was not sure if it was the most effective thing. Then, my little girl saw it & lit up. She said, "I really like that picture daddy!". At that point I realized maybe this poster wasn't designed with the overthinking, adult in mind. Anyways, here's the poster, what do you think?
