Disneynature’s newest film Penguins is right around the corner. April 17th an Adélie penguin named Steve joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily. As he's targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, threatening his happily ever after. Opening in theaters nationwide in time for Earth Day 2019, this trailer reminds you to see it opening weekend so your proceeds go helping these little guys out. It's no secret how much I love penguins. Check out our Instagram to see some inspiring penguin statues from the Disneyworld Resort Parks made of trash that has washed ashore. A tragically beautiful reminder why these guys need that opening weekend help. This trailer looks adorable, & I can't wait to help & be entertained at the same time.
Celebrating 10 Years Of Disneynature!
Walt Disney Studios put up this amazing video capturing the magic that has been Disneynature for the past 10 years. If you've been missing these, this is a great place to get a sample of the beauty that Disneynature is & more. I was first put onto these with Born in China , & I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the tickets mainly when I found out the first weekend sales go to helping the animals & environments depicted in the films. I wasn't expecting however, to be thoroughly entertained by a nature documentary. Even my children couldn't keep their eyes off the screen. This was a great way to not only see nature in a way we don't while trapped in our day to day, but also really realize that we share this Spaceship Earth with a host of other beings not too different from ourselves. That, & there's the fact that the ticket price goes to help so much as I mentioned earlier. Anyway, if you've been sleeping on Disneynature, do yourself a favor & check out this small sample of all the beauty up until now, with a taste of what's to come.
Meet Steve In Ed Helms Special Announcement For "Penguins"
This announces Ed Helm's as the narrator of Disneynature's upcoming Penguins . He wants to introduce you to the adorable star of the film, Steve. This announcement also comes with this synopsis, "..... a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he's targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after." I'm. So. All. In. I not only love penguins, but I'm sure Ed Helms is going to keep the documentary style pretty entertaining. I can't wait for this. Don't forget to see this April 17th, opening weekend by the way. The proceeds from these films on opening weekend go to help protect their subject matter. So, see this & save some little birds in tuxes at the same tine.
Cuteness Overload In Trailer For Disneynature's "Penguins"
Before I start know I have a total bias on this subject. I Absolutely Love me some penguins. Even though they've been done on film to death, I am still excited for yet another. Especially beings its Disneynature's Penguins . I love these Disneynature films, and not just because they're amazing, interesting, & beyond beautifully shot. I love the fact that they make donations in the opening weekend to the foundations that protect the animals involved. This trailer comes with a synopsis that sounds familiar, "a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he's targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after." Once again though, it's penguins, & I could probably watch a days worth of different families doing the exact same things. Totally excited for this years Disneynature film, & if you're going to see it, make it count. See it opening weekend so the penguins get a piece of the action! I'll be there, will you? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Missing A Great Chance Disneynature Has "Penguins" Lined Up For Earth Day
Disneynature’s all-new feature film Penguins is described as a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family. None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he's targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who threaten his happily ever after. From the filmmaking team behind Bears and Chimpanzee. I saw this yesterday, while spending my Earth Day dodging tornados. It's opening in theaters in time for Earth Day 2019, I can't help but think why? Penguins have multiple films now. I love those little ice birds. Probably more than any other species of bird, but March of the Penguins is even getting a sequel. At this point they have their spot in the limelight. More importantly, when you see the three animals involved, you realize Disneynature passed on Disneynature's Killer Whales . How cool would that have been? Orcas haven't shined since Free Willy . I'd even take Disneynature's Leopard Seals. Give is some excitement this time around. Either way, it's for a great cause. I'll be there regardless, & like I said, I do love penguins. Just think they missed a great chance. What do y'all think? Penguins, Killer Whales, or Leopard Seals? Put it in the comments, like, & share
Disneynature Already Gearing Up For Earth Day 2018 With "Dolphins"
Earth Day is not even here yet, but that doesn't stop Disney nature. They went ahead and released their plans for Earth Day next year, giving us the first trailer for Disneynature's Dolphins. It's on the title right there so I'm going to take it that you already know that this one is probably going to be about dolphins. We're going under the sea with a free spirit of a dolphin named Echo. This time around will be directed and produced by the same team that brought you Bears and African Cats in 2014 and 2011. Dolphins will be here just in time for Earth Day 2018. I can't wait. One of the highlights of living here on the coast are watching the dolphins who sporadically visit us as were sitting on the beach or boating. Yet as many times as I've seen them, I've never seen them like this. These Disneynature videos seem to capture a beauty that I don't even know how they find. Anyway let me know what you think after the trailer in the comments. Then, give us a like and share.
What Are You Doing For Earth Day? How About Going to China With Disneynature?
So far, in addition to 3,000,000 trees being planted in Brazil's Atlantic Forest, 40,000 acres of protected marine area in the Bahamas & 65,000 acres of protected savanna in Kenya have been established. Almost 130,000 acres of wild chimpanzee habitat have been protected while simultaneously caring for chimpanzees & educating 60,000 children about chimpanzee conservation. Research & restoration grants have been funded in U.S. National Parks to projects across 2.9 million acres protecting endangered species. Meanwhile, monkeys & other endangered species have been protected in their natural habitats across Indonesia, Cambodia, & Sri Lanka. How you ask? Through donations tied to opening-week attendance of Disneynature films, through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. This year, on Earth Day weekend, do your part to help & attend an opening showing of Disneynature's Born in China to benefit the Wold Wildlife Fund. I'll be there, even helped a little more by purchasing a stuffed panda from the Disney Store. Check out this trailer of the beautiful China landscape & ask yourself how you couldn't do anything to help these adorable creatures? Share with your friends & lets fill up dome theaters on Earth Day!
