This was friggin' awesome!! This is video of Andrew Pirozzi showing what he goes through to portray Sven in Disney's Frozen the Musical on Broadway. This costume is a puppeteering wonder. With every piece he put on I was more & more amazed. I'll bet it's a real pain in the what to walk around in this thing. I'll probably never get to see this play, but to me, this might have been way cooler. I just want to put it on to see how hard it is to operate. Anyway, what do y'all think? Puppetry at its finest or meh? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
Have You Seen The Trailer For Disney's "Frozen The Broadway Musical"?
This Frozen The Broadway Musical trailer was great. I was a little worried after I had heard these two songs that were released previously. Not that they're bad, I just didn't really think they were Frozen quality. They sounded like "sequel" songs from the 90s. Good, yet not rememberable really. That's just what I think though, you could love them. I just wasn't really feelin them on a Frozen level. Comparing the songs, I like Anna's True Love more than Elsa's Monster . The trailer is where they really shine though. The stage effects look amazing. All the freezing elements that light up, as well as the spikes that come from the ground. The set pieces are crazy cool. That fall though bridge is great. The real surprise is how much I dug the Olaf & especially the Sven puppets. If I could swing the cost, I would totally go see this. What about y'all? This live up to Frozen for ya or would you take a pass? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
New Pics Give A Look At "Frozen: The Musical" In Action
I really want to see the special effects of Frozen: The Musical so bad. I've heard the puppet used for Olaf is amazing. The scene down bottom left on what looks like an ice bridge with Anna (Patti Murin) & Kristoff (Jelani Alladin) looks amazingly real. Elsa, top right looks friggin' regal as she's crowned. Hans (John Riddle) in the center with Anna somehow looks like the smug bastard that we know he becomes even while singing & dancing. Bottom right is the cast seemingly being "frozen". I would love to see that one in action just to see what effects go with it. Based on the picture alone the scene looks really funny playing out in my head without effects. I have to address the reindeer in the room though. Top left if you actually didn't notice that very scary reindeer. I don't know why it creeps me out so much as it looks like a pretty legit reindeer. For some reason though, from the time I first saw that thing it came off as creepy. Anyway, these pics came from Oh My Disney, & Frozen: The Musical will be playing in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts through October 1st, 2017 & hit Broadway February 22, 2018. I would love to see this, but it's a little too rich for my blood. Would love to know what y'all think of these pics though. Put it in the comments, like, & share.
What Is Elsa Wearing?!? Frozen Broadway Costumes Revealed (Updated: What is ANNA wearing?!?)
Frozen is Disney's newest addition to Broadway, scheduled to debut Spring of next year. Chip & Co. had some details as well as some costume reveals. They mentioned those wouldn't be the only changes as the Broadway version will be 20 minutes longer, with some changes to the score. All the original songs will be there, in addition to 12 new songs just for Broadway. Wondering at what point does this become something too different to resonate with fans. That being said back to these costumes. What the hell are those? They look like someone went to the Alaskan Salvation Army & decided to play dress-up. You've got the Queen of green trash bags & her cold weather carriage driver. It's like they're going for a realistic approach in a story with a talking snowman. I'm totally not feeling these, not that I frequent Broadway anyway. This hasn't got me wanting to change that so far. What do y'all think? What's your feelings on these costumes? Let me know in the comments, like, & share.
(UPDATE) Apparently a couple of sites are floating these pics around with pics of both sisters. Thanks to Stitch Kingdom, & some further digging to make sure, originating in the NY Post it appears both of these costumes belong to Anna. Doesn't really change my views on them, but nonetheless, they are only Anna's. She is both the Princess of green trash bags & the cold carriage driver.
