Disney Taking Another Shot At The Rocketeer, Well Kinda.

When I was 10-11 years old, all I wanted in life was a jetpack. Why? That was the year Disney released The Rocketeer . I wanted everything Rocketeer I could get my hands on. Ever since then I've been hungry for more. A sequel, even a remake, but this? This I'm just not too sure about. Disney just announced plans to bring The Rocketeer to Disney Junior. This will be a newly imagined animated series introducing a new Rocketeer. Receiving a package on her birthday, young Kit will be the next to take on the mantle of the Rocketeer. Gadget minded friend Tesh & mechanic uncle Ambrose will join her to help save the day with new gear & a new secret identity. Nicole Dubuc will produce the show, which will consist of two 11 minute episodes & an original song. It's produced by Wild Canary & Disney Junior, & I can't help but think this is a waste of this character. I won't know until it's on, but not even a remake made for TV? We get a children's cartoon? I'm just a little put off by this. Whok knows though? I could be selling Disney Junior short. They do have some programs I like. This is just surprising to say the least. I will check it out. Fingers crossed. What do y'all think though? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

New "Muppet Babies" To Get An All-New Character & I'm Not Really A Fan

Not feelin' this one at all. I'm usually not one to totally poo-poo on a new character, but this doesn't even look like it's going to fit. Talk about stand out like a sore thumb. In an EW exclusive it was announced that Summer the penguin will be joining the nursery upon Muppet Babies return to Disney Junior in March. Apparently, Skeeter will not be a normal part of the new remake's cast so they wanted another female in the nursery. Summer will be voiced by Jessica DiCicco & is described as an "art girl" loving to draw, paint, & dance at the same time. The smallest character with the biggest heart. That's what really hurts the most for me. I love the synopsis of the character, but the look is so off for me. These are Muppet Babies, keyword being Muppet. This thing doesn't even look like it could be a Muppet. Love to know y'alls thoughts though? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Not Sure What I Think About The New "Muppet Babies" Going Into Production

Jim Henson's Muppet Babies was my childhood. I remember waiting in front of the television hoping that they were going to play the Star Wars or Indiana Jones episodes. I loved them all but I still hold a special place in my heart for those episodes. This was the only show to really do Star Wars right. This (& Figment) fueled my imagination as a child, & I'm a better person today for it. Needless to say, when I heard Disney Junior was bringing this show back to life I was excited. Now however, Inside the Magic has brought it to my attention that production has begun with a quote form Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide. In it she had said, "Parents will delight in seeing their favorite Muppets in the mixed animation style they remember from the original series, & kids will be introduced to this warm & zany world made just right for the Disney Junior audience."  That sounds great by itself, but the top of the article had mentioned a come-back in CGI-animation form. That seems more par for the course as of late when you consider that hand drawn animation is pretty much dead. It just also makes me have to reserve judgment until I see the finished product. Sometimes I'm not the biggest fan of CGI-animation, but I can forgive that if the show is really good like Star Wars: Rebels. Furthering that fear, they put up this picture with the article, confirming to me why I don't like this style. They come off kinda creepy. I don't know, like I said, full judgement will be withheld until I see the finished show. I'm still glad Muppet Babies is getting a chance to live again. What do y'all think though?
