Pixar's "Cars 3" Gets A New Trailer

New trailer for the upcoming Cars 3. This one showcases some more of Arnie Hammer's Jackson Storm, Lightning McQueen's (Owen Wilson) new high-tech rival. You also get some more hilarious looks at Lightning's Rocky-esque training with race tech Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) in an attempt to make a comeback at the Florida 500 after a rather nasty accident. All these trailers are pointing to a turnaround from the lackluster sequel. I not only really like this trailer, I've seen nothing so far that worries me that this movie won't be anything but great. I would love to see this too, as I adored the first Cars. Probably more than a grown man should for that matter. Anyway, what do you think of this new trailer? Let us know in the comments, like, & share.

"Mickey Mouse Club" Getting A Remix

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. For generations, including my own these were the first words most kids knew how to spell. The Mouseketeers were the first people we knew we wanted to be. Then after being on & off again form 1955 to 1996 it was gone. It seemed to be the end for Walt's own Mickey Mouse Club, that helped launch the careers of Annette Funicello, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, & so many others. However, according to CNBC that was not the end. Disney is creating a new series for Facebook (Yup, that Facebook) called Club Mickey Mouse. Sound familiar? It just might be. Not much was said about the proposed content other than it will be like a remixed version of the classic Mickey Mouse Club. Can't wait to check it out & expose my daughters to becoming new generations of Mouseketeers.

D23 To Have Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin

With the new Ducktales about to start D23 has let it be known that Scrooge McDuck's money bin that will debut at the "Radio Disney Music Awards" will be on it's way to D23 next. If you're like me you've always wondered not only what it would be like, but how Scrooge McDuck was able to take a swim through all of his gold in his money bin. If you can get to D23 it looks like you can get a chance to find out. Jump into a bin of "gold" themed to look like Duckberg's famed money bin. Check D23 on Twitter or Disney.D23 on Snapchat to check it out this phototastic addition.

RIP Michael Mantenuto

It's always sad to lose someone. When that someone is only 35 years old though, it's tragic. Michael Mantenuto was found dead on Monday, April 24 as a result of suicide. Michael played Jack O'Callahan in Disney's Miracle opposite Kurt Russell. According to TMZ, besides parts in two other movies, he also went on to enlist in the Army, & joined the Special Forces. Suicide is something that is becoming all to normal now, & it's scary. To think we've made a world in which so many people can think there's no other way out just makes me a little ashamed to be part of it. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow just a day away. RIP Michael, I hope you find peace.

Check Out The Whole Lineup For Hall D23 At The D23 Expo

Disney released the whole schedule for Hall D23. Hall D23 being the biggest stage at the D23 Expo. The more they have released for D23 the more I wish I could find the time/money to go this year. I'm kinda on the wrong coast, & with so much in the works right now though, it's probably not feasible. But alas, there will always be another. So now I'm just putting all my hopes toward them live-streaming D23 like they did Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. With that in mind here's the lineup for Hall D23:

Friday, July 14

  • Disney Legends Awards Ceremony (10:00 AM) - Disney CEO will kick off the event with this year's Disney Legends Award recipients. To see the 2017 Legend lineup click here.
  • Walt Disney Animation Studios & Pixar Animation Studios (2:30 PM) - This is where we see what's upcoming from what I personally feel are the best animation studios in the world. We'll talk this year's lineup as well as even more  things to come I'm sure.

Saturday, July 15

  • The Walt Disney Studios Live-Action Films (10:30 AM) - In 2015 this is where we got our first look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Beauty & the Beast, Doctor Strange & more. Disney, Marvel, & Lucasfilm will all be here together with their plans for the future. This is in close running with the animation showing as what I'm probably most excited for.
  • Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (3:00 PM) - Bob Chapek, Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman will reveal some of the many new things as well as some of what's to come. With all the things going on in the next few years at the Disney Parks worldwide this will probably be an overload of awesomeness.

Sunday, July 16

  • A Whole New World of Alan Menken (1:30 PM & 5 PM) - The big stage devotes it's last day to 8 time Oscar winner Alan Menken as he takes you on a musical journey through Disney in his brand-new one-man show. See here.

Disney Might Have a Title Character Cast For "Christopher Robin"

In a Hollywood Reporter exclusive Ewan McGregor is in talks to play an adult Christopher Robin not quite like you've seen the character before. With no sense of imagination left, this Mr. Robin is a one track minded businessman. Directed by Marc Forster (World War Z, Quantum of Solace), the studio is bringing in Oscar-nominated Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures) to take a new shot at the script. The screenplay was written by Alex Ross Perry, with a later draft worked on by Tom McCarthy. Yes, that is a scary amount of writers involved. I however, am one of the very few adult males on the planet who will sit down & watch The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh & enjoy every second of it. And Obi-Wan himself, Ewan McGregor? You attach him to anything & I'm on board. So find your favorite thinking place & then tell us what you think. Ewan McGregor for Christopher Robin? Someone Else? Should Adult Christopher Robin even be done or is it just a PG rated Ted? That's what the comments are for, like & share.

New Cars 3 Trailer is Here

The Cars 3 trailer has arrived. This one definitely looks like it's taking itself way more seriously this time around, & in my eyes that's a good thing. I wasn't a fan of the sequel to Cars. Which was a shame, because I really enjoyed the first outing. Mainly because of how serious it seemed to take itself, while being a movie abut talking cars. Much like this one looks, it tackled some serious issues. This time around it looks like the issue at hand is Owen Wilson's, Lightning McQueen coming to grips with not being able to keep up with younger, faster up & coming race cars. A real concern in life, not just for sports either. After leaving the track early via the accident seen in the teaser earlier in the year we get to follow McQueen's journey back to he track. With the help of newcomer Cruz Ramirez voiced by Cristela Alonzo he has to fight his way to not only be back in shape, but enough to take on faster than lightning (punny huh?) Armie Hammer as Jackson Storm for the Piston Cup. We're kinda moving away from the plot of Days Of Thunder. Anyway, I can't wait. This trailer was great; really got a sense of what they're going for this time around without giving it all away. What do y'all think? Cars 3? Let us know in the comments.

Disney May Have Found Their Live-Action Timon & Pumbaa

Everyone's favorite singing warthog & meerkat may have finally found their voices. The Hollywood Reporter has Seth Rogen & Billy Eichner in talks to voice Pumbaa & Timon in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Lion King. If this goes through they will join already casted Donald Glover as Simba & James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa. I'd be lying if I even acted like I know who Billy Eichner is. Apparently he won a Daytime Emmy as host of Billy on the Street & stars in Difficult People for Hulu. Seth Rogen on the other hand I'm very familiar with all the way back from his Freaks & Geeks days on through This is the End, Neighbors, Sausage Party & The Night Before just to name a few. I'm a big fan of about all his work so far. Count me in as hoping this goes through. What about y'all? Billy & Seth for Timon & Pumbaa? Got another choice? Let us know in the comments, like, & share.

Disney Announces Release Dates for Frozen 2 & The Lion King (Live Action)

If you can't wait to be king or have an itchin to build a magical snowman bad news is you're going to have to wait until 2019. Good news is we now know when in 2019. Disney has announced the dates for Frozen 2 as well as the live action retelling of The Lion King. In regards to the return of Elsa & Anna in Frozen 2, they will let it go on November 27, 2019. On the other hand be prepared for the live action Lion King on July 19th of 2019 with the unreplaceable James Earl Jones reprising Mufasa, Childish Gambino Donald Glover as Simba, & Jungle Book director, Jon Favreau. If I could by tickets now I probably already would have them. I can't wait for Lion King as it's one of my all time favorites & honestly Frozen grows on me a little more as a whole every time I watch it.

D23 Announces One-Man Show "A Whole New World of Alan Menken"

Do you know who Alan Menken is? If you don't, he's the reason for all the music that was stuck in your head when you left Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Enchanted, or Tangled just to name his Disney contributions. He has written and will be performing a one-man show called A Whole New World of Alan Menken for D23 this year on Sunday, July 16th. There will be two performances in Hall D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center at 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.. This guy's amazing he's won eight Oscars with 19 nominations, more Academy Awards than any other living individual. Then on top of that, 11 Grammy Awards, 7 Golden Globes, and a friggin Tony Award. He's also been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. To be directed by Richard Kraft, all I'm hoping right now isif I can't make it to D23, they're at least going to stream it like they streamed Star Wars Celebration. This man's definitely has a track record where I can vouch for this definitely being an unforgettable  experience and I don't want to miss it.

Will Smith In Early Talks To Play Genie In Aladdin Live-Action Remake

Yup, after turning down Tim Burton's Dumbo earlier probably something hitting to close to home, you know, with the big ears thing. Seriously though, Dateline says Will Smith is now in early talks to grant some wishes in Guy Ritchie's Aladdin. Not my first pick to fill Robin Williams shoes, but when Will Smith is on he is one helluva talented actor. Not to mention if you look at his early days, he had an amazing comedic presence as well. I'll give almost anyone a chance so who knows he could knock this out of the park. It still doesn't top confusion I have about this being a Guy Ritchie movie. Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels & Snatch aren't the first things I think of when I think Disney. What do you think of Will Smith as the Genie? Let us know in the comments below.

Pirates Arr Not So Good At Keeping Secrets / Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales International Trailer

I'm now starting to feel over trailered as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales releases it international trailer. I'm just staring to feel I know things I didn't want to know. First, we get Orlando Bloom's Will Turner. Followed by the revelation that Brenton Thwaites is playing his son, Henry Turner. Now, we have this trailer confirming Keira Knightley's return as Elizabeth Swan. For all I know this could be the first 5 minutes of the film, but still, wouldn't it have been awesome to be in the theater & then BOOM! Elizabeth Swan, you're welcome. Surprise cameos are what's up! I just hope we didn't skip a really cool reveal for one that comes off lackluster. It seems like a waste to not confirm these things for so long,  & give it up right before the release. I still can't wait to see Pirates though don't get me wrong. They're 3 for 4 in my book, & the 1 wasn't horrible, it just wasn't as great as yhe others. Kinda meh. Whatcha think, too much? Leave it in the comments, like & share.

Disney Has Cast Elsa & Anna for Upcoming Broadway "Frozen"

The Wrap reported that Disney has found the leads for the upcoming Broadway musical version of Frozen. Caissie Levy (Ghost; Wicked) has been picked to play the Ice Queen Elsa. While Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones; Xanadu) will play Anna. They will be joining cast members Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), Greg Hildreth (Olaf), John Riddle (Hans), & Robert Creighton as Duke of Weselton. Frozen will open next spring at the St. James Theater as well as play at the Buell Theater in the Denver Center for Performing Arts Aug. 17 to Oct. 1, 2017. I'm probably not the best to speak on this as I've never seen a play in my life, much less a Broadway play. Not ruling it out, just never really had the chance to go to anything that piqued my interests. Sorry to the cast of RENT. It seems like the ones I really want to see take a long trip & then drop an amount of money on top of that, that I don't want to drop just to see a show. I would love to hear anyone else's Broadway stories though. Especially if they involve seeing the Lion King. Get in the comments & let's see if we can twist my arm a little to getting out there.

Disneynature Already Gearing Up For Earth Day 2018 With "Dolphins"

Earth Day is not even here yet, but that doesn't stop Disney nature. They went ahead and released their plans for Earth Day next year, giving us the first trailer for Disneynature's Dolphins. It's on the title right there so I'm going to take it that you already know that this one is probably going to be about dolphins. We're going under the sea with a free spirit of a dolphin named Echo. This time around will be directed and produced by the same team that brought you Bears and African Cats in 2014 and 2011. Dolphins will be here just in time for Earth Day 2018. I can't wait. One of the highlights of living here on the coast are watching the dolphins who sporadically visit us as were sitting on the beach or boating. Yet as many times as I've seen them, I've never seen them like this. These Disneynature videos seem to capture a beauty that I don't even know how they find. Anyway let me know what you think after the trailer in the comments. Then, give us a like and share.

What Are You Doing For Earth Day? How About Going to China With Disneynature?

So far, in addition to 3,000,000 trees being planted in Brazil's Atlantic Forest, 40,000 acres of protected marine area in the Bahamas & 65,000 acres of protected savanna in Kenya have been established. Almost 130,000 acres of wild chimpanzee habitat have been protected while simultaneously caring for chimpanzees & educating 60,000 children about chimpanzee conservation. Research & restoration grants have been funded in U.S. National Parks to projects across 2.9 million acres protecting endangered species. Meanwhile,  monkeys & other endangered species have been protected in their natural habitats across Indonesia, Cambodia, & Sri Lanka. How you ask? Through donations tied to opening-week attendance of Disneynature films, through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. This year, on Earth Day weekend, do your part to help & attend an opening showing of Disneynature's Born in China to benefit the Wold Wildlife Fund. I'll be there, even helped a little more by purchasing a stuffed panda from the Disney Store. Check out this trailer of the beautiful China landscape & ask yourself how you couldn't do anything to help these adorable creatures? Share with your friends & lets fill up dome theaters on Earth Day!

Disney & Lego Take On Beauty and the Beast

Disney and The LEGO Group give us another one of these gems in their As Told by LEGO series. This time they've decided to take on the tale as old as time. What this one lacks in effects as opposed to The Rogue One setup, it makes up for in comedy. This one was pretty funny. In fact, the battle with Gaston actually made me laugh out loud. Check it out though, it's quick and love it or hate it let us know in the comments.

Dead Men Tell No Tales Gets 5 Character Posters

Disney released character posters for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales. As posters go there your standard fare. You got your character, little rain in the background, blurry images, couple pieces of a boat.... Overall they're really what you would expect from Pirates of the Caribbean posters. Obviously we'll start with Captain Jack. Johnny Depp looks a little more intense and somewhat serious this time around if your just judging by this poster. I don't know why the insistence on messing with Geoffrey Rush's face in these movies, but it looks like time has done the monkey better than it is done Barbosa. Javier Bardem looks epically scary. Proving if they can get the CGI right this is going to be the character we were missing from the last outing. Newcomer Kaya Scodelario gets a poster that looks like she might not belong on the ship at all. That is probably a nod to her character though, not belonging in the mix of all this. The real poster that stands out to me is this last one. Brenton Thwaites poster makes him look every bit capable of filling the shoes of father Will Turner. Well that's my thoughts on these posters. What are yours? Let me know down in the comments, and while you're there like and share.

The Rock Cooking Up "Jungle Cruise"

Do you smell what The Rock is cookin? According to THR it's starring & producing in Disney's Jungle Cruise. That's right, one of the original Disneyland rides is getting the Pirates of the Caribbean treatment on the big screen. With no director attached Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will not only star but produce with co-CEO of Seven Bucks Entertainment, Dany Garcia. Though this has been in talks since 2015, it has finally survived "development hell" & looks like it will be going for a Spring of 2018 production start. John Davis & John Fox of Davis Entertainment are also producing with Beau Flynn also in talks via Flynn Picture Company. This is definitely not the last you will hear from us on this one. I've been following The Rock since the WWE was the WWF, & every announcement he gives gets me even more excited to follow his next steps. This guy is one of the most entertaining men in the world, & getting better by the day.
